VatView is a mobile application designed for flight simulation enthusiasts who wish to monitor Air Traffic Control (ATC) presence and flight information on the VATSIM network.

VatView strives to offer a comprehensive VATSIM companion experience. It facilitates quick access to active VATSIM terminal area ATC stations and frequencies, as well as provides easy access to ATIS messages. Additionally, it highlights enroute ATC, distinguishing land, oceanic, UIR, and FSS VATSIM controlled areas on the map.

VatView boasts three primary views:

• a map that visually represents all pilots and air traffic controllers presently connected to the VATSIM network
• a filterable and searchable list page that offers a detailed list of all connected pilots and ATC
• an airport search page that centralizes all connected ATC, active flights, and prefiled flight plans for a specific airport

VATSIM, which stands for the Virtual Air Traffic Simulation Network, is a free online platform enabling flight simulator enthusiasts to connect and simulate flights within a shared virtual aviation ecosystem. It replicates Air Traffic Control (ATC) operations through voice communication and network interaction between virtual pilots using flight simulator software and virtual air traffic controllers employing dedicated ATC software. The experience closely mirrors real-world aviation scenarios. VATSIM supports Microsoft's Flight Simulator (MSFS, FSX, FS9), P3D, and X-Plane.
